Finance and Operations
Interim CFO and Vice Chancellor for Finance and Operations
The Finance and Operations division is responsible for the university’s budgeting, planning, business operations and environmental management functions. Grounds, maintenance and physical plant operations and university police are also included within the division.
Assistant Vice Chancellor
The Accounting and Fiscal Services department helps manage the finances of the university, provides oversight and guidance in fiscal matters and facilitates the process of moving students through their academic careers.
Assistant Vice Chancellor
Business Services provides development and review of a variety of agreements for such activities as professional services, performances, and facilities use to help ensure a sound business approach and, through interaction with the staff of the UM General Counsel’s Office, a sound legal one as well. They provide negotiations for and facilitation of the purchase, sale and lease of real estate; serve as a resource for non-medical insurance issues, and assist in efforts to maintain good employee relations by investigating and deciding staff grievance appeals.
Design and Construction Management
Director, Design and Construction Management
The Design and Construction Management department provides guidance and oversight in matters relating to all construction on campus while ensuring it complies with applicable building codes.
Environmental Health and Safety

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety is available as a resource to assist all members of the university community with environmental and regulatory compliance and preparing for emergencies.
Director, Facilities Operations
The Facilities Operations department provides campus support by maintaining and operating building heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, electrical and plumbing systems, building interiors, building exteriors, utility distribution systems, sidewalks, steps and parking lots. It also provides coordination and support for campus special events and setups by providing moving equipment, furniture, and administration and maintenance of the campus Best Company Master Lock system.
Chief of Police
The Missouri S&T Police Department supports the campus community in its commitment to teaching, research and service by providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors in partnership with all members of the campus community.
