Information on World Literature I (English 102) for spring 2009Students in this course will become familiar with a variety of important works and writers from the very beginnings of literature to the Renaissance. We cover works from Gilgamesh to the Confucian Classic of Songs to The Satyricon and writers from Homer to Kalidasa to Cervantes. Epic, poetry, drama, and prose fiction are included.
